The roar of engines echoes once more along the shores of the Indian Ocean. Dozens of four-wheel racers from various national teams prepare to conquer the sharp turns at the Mandalika Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara, during the 3rd Round of the Mandalika Festival of Speed (MFoS), held on October 25–26, 2025.

For motorsport enthusiasts, this is more than just a competition. It is a celebration of speed, lifestyle, and the spirit of adventure in a captivating tropical destination.

“All racing action can be witnessed live for free at Grandstand A,” said Priandi Satria, Director of Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA), in Central Lombok, Saturday, October 25, 2025.

More Than Just Racing

The Mandalika Festival of Speed stands as one of the most prestigious national car racing championship series in Indonesia this year. The event features various competition categories, ranging from the Indonesia Touring Car Race (ITCR), divided into ITCR 1200, 1500, and 3600, to TCR-BMW, 3000 Turbo Novice–Advance, MFoS 3600CC Max, Subaru BRZ Super Series, Agya One Make Race (OMR), and Time Attack Challenge.

Each class offers a different character, from strategic battles to pure speed. For two days, Mandalika transforms into a "living arena" for automotive lovers, where adrenaline meets the blue beach panoramas and green hills characteristic of Lombok Island.

According to Priandi, MFoS not only presents intense competition among racers but is also part of MGPA's commitment to building a sustainable, internationally-class motorsport ecosystem.

“This event is projected to be one of the largest national car racing agendas this year, presenting intense competition among racers and high-quality motorsport entertainment for domestic automotive fans,” he stated.

Motorsport Tourism: Blending Racing and Tourism

The MFoS event is not just about who is the fastest. It is part of the grand strategy of InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) to develop motorsport tourism—a concept that combines sports entertainment with tourism experiences.

Mandalika now holds a unique position on the world tourism map. According to a report by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA, 2024), destinations combining racing events and tourism tend to experience a 30% increase in visits within the first two years after the event is held consistently.

The impact is also felt in the local economy. Based on data from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf, 2025), every motorsport event held in Mandalika attracts over 50,000 visitors, creating new business opportunities in the accommodation, transportation, culinary, and creative economy sectors.

Between race schedules, spectators can enjoy snorkeling at Gili Trawangan, explore the Sade traditional village, or watch the sunset at Bukit Seger—a perfect blend of adrenaline and tranquility.

Collaboration for the Future of Indonesian Motorsport

The success of this event stems from synergy across institutions and the automotive community. MGPA collaborates with the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI) Central and NTB branches, as well as national promoters like E-Shark Motorsport and Assoy Geboy Production.

“We thank IMI Central, IMI NTB, and the championship promoters, namely E-Shark Motorsport and Assoy Geboy Production, for their strong support and close cooperation in advancing this event. This collaborative spirit is the main foundation for the sustainability of racing in Indonesia,” said Priandi.

For many young travelers, the Mandalika Festival of Speed is a new lifestyle destination—a place where racing, culture, and adventure converge. It's not just about who finishes first, but about how speed, community, and tourism can advance in the same harmony.

Mandalika: Symbol of New Energy

Set against the exotic backdrop of South Lombok's coastline, Mandalika is not only becoming an Indonesian racing icon but also a symbol of transformation into a world-class tourist destination.

InJourney Holding and ITDC continue to strive to make this area a sustainable tourism hub, complete with eco-lodge facilities, MSME zones, and cultural festivals that run alongside the world of motorsport.

Speed on the track is just the beginning—because truly, Mandalika is a place where adrenaline and nature greet each other.
