Maarten Paes Breaks Silence on Rumored Move to Persib Bandung

The name Maarten Paes suddenly became the center of public attention in Indonesian Football in recent days. That Indonesian National Team goalkeeper was swept up in transfer rumors suggesting he would move to Persib Bandung. The rumor spread quickly on social media and sparked widespread speculation among supporters.

Maarten Paes finally spoke out about the rumors linking him to Persib Bandung.

Not only Maarten Paes, the rumor also linked Joey Pelupessy to Persib Bandung.

However, until now there has been no official statement from the management of Maung Bandung regarding the truth of the rumor.

Amid intense speculation, Paes' contract status actually shows a relatively stable situation. Maarten Paes is currently still under contract with FC Dallas until December 2026. 

Meanwhile, Joey Pelupessy is still a player for Lommel SK with a contract until June 2026.

Responding to the rumor, Maarten Paes asked not to believe all the rumors circulating about him.

"Don't believe everything you read in the news! I've read a lot of rumors the past few days and honestly I don't know where they come from," wrote Maarten Paes via a post on X.

That statement is a strong signal that the news of his move to Bandung is still just speculation. Instead of thinking about a transfer, Paes is focusing on his physical and mental preparation for the upcoming season.

Maarten Paes admitted that currently he is working hard in training while enjoying his Holiday.

"For now, I'm working hard during the off-season and enjoying a holiday in Asia. Thank you for your understanding." 

That straightforward response also confirms that there is no agreement whatsoever regarding his move to Persib Bandung.
