Thailand stands as the only country in Southeast Asia to make the top 100 of the Latest FIFA Rankings. The Land of the White Elephant occupies the 96th position, leaving behind its closest rival, Vietnam (107).

Meanwhile, the ranking of Indonesia according to the FIFA website has not changed since October 17, 2025. Throughout this year's calendar, the Garuda squad's best position was 118th in July 2025. Its worst position was 123rd in April 2025.

Indonesia's position in the latest FIFA Rankings updated on Monday, December 22, 2025, remains at 122nd, with a total of 1,144.73 points. This stagnation is not a huge surprise, but the regional context makes it feel crucial.

In the Southeast Asian region, Indonesia ranks fourth in the latest FIFA rankings. Indonesia's ranking is below Thailand (96) with 1,243.27 points, Vietnam (107) with 1,189.51 points, and Malaysia (121) with 1,145.89 points.

Below the Garuda squad consecutively are the Philippines (136), Singapore (148), Myanmar (163), Cambodia (139), Brunei Darussalam (188), Laos (189) and Timor Leste (198).

In the broader Asian context, the power map remains stable. Japan (18) still holds the highest FIFA ranking in Asia, followed by Iran (20), South Korea (22), Australia (26) and Uzbekistan (50).

Globally, the status quo still holds. The top position is still held by Spain, followed consecutively by Argentina (2), France (3), England (4), Brazil (5), Portugal (6), Netherlands (7), Belgium (8), Germany (9) and Croatia (10) in the top 10.

A new change occurred at the 34th position, currently held by Algeria, which rose one place from before.
