The 1-3 defeat to Zambia in the opening match was painful, but it doesn't mean Indonesia U-17's chance to advance to the knockout stage of the 2025 U-17 World Cup is over. That hope remains alive, albeit with conditions.

Indonesia U-17 still has two matches against Brazil and Honduras. These two crucial fixtures will determine their path to the round of 32.

The Young Garuda will face Brazil on Friday, 7 November 2025, then meet Honduras on Tuesday, 10 November 2025.

These two matches will test the mental strength and quality of Putu Panji and his teammates.

Six points can still be earned, and if achieved, Indonesia's chance to progress to the next round would be wide open.

Qualification Requirements: Six, Four, or Three Points Could Be the Key

The main requirement for Indonesia U-17 to advance to the round of 32 is to finish first or second in Group H. However, opportunities also exist if they can rank among the top eight best third-place teams.

Currently, Indonesia sits third in Group H and ranks 10th in the best third-place standings. To reach the safe zone, the Young Garuda must gain points from their two remaining matches.

If they collect six points, Indonesia will qualify as group winner or runner-up. With four points (1 win and 1 draw), advancement chances remain high, either as group runner-up or best third-place team.

Three points from one win still offer hope, though goal difference will be decisive. With two or one point, the chance is slim.
