The Indonesian golf team concluded the SEA Games Thailand 2025 series of matches with one silver and one bronze medal. Competing at Siam Country Club Pattaya, Chonburi, on Sunday, December 14, 2025, this result reflects the tight competition and the continuous progress being built by the national golf sport at the Southeast Asian level.
Indonesian Golf Team Coach Alga Topan stated that the athletes' struggle deserves appreciation, considering the even quality of competition and high pressure throughout the tournament.
"The matches were very tight. Every team fought hard to win medals and record the best scores," said Indonesian Golf Team Coach Alga Topan, appreciating the athletes' struggle in the intense competition throughout the tournament.

Indonesia's silver medal came from the men's team sector. The team, strengthened by Kenneth Henson Sutianto, Rayhan Abdul Latief, and Amadeus Christian Susanto, recorded a total score of 851.
This achievement placed Indonesia in second position, behind Thailand which dominated with a score of 831. Vietnam had to settle for third place with a total score of 857.
The performance of the Indonesian men's team showed consistent play since the first day. Although they had to acknowledge the host's superiority, Indonesia was able to maintain pressure until the final round, especially in maintaining score stability on crucial holes.
Meanwhile, the women's sector contributed a bronze medal through the trio Sania Talita Wahyudi, Bianca Naomi Amina Laksono, and Elaine Widjaja. The Indonesian women's team recorded a total score of 595, behind Thailand which won gold with a score of 558 and Singapore which finished second with a score of 593.
Although the highest target wasn't achieved, Alga believes this result is a positive signal for the development of Indonesian golf. He stated that the athletes' performance showed quality improvement, both in terms of technique and competitive mentality.
Alga also highlighted the tough challenges faced by the athletes during the four days of competition. The course characteristics and weather conditions were crucial factors influencing the course of the matches.
"For four days of competition, the weather was quite hot with strong winds from various directions due to the course location being close to the beach area," said Alga.
He explained that these conditions demanded high consistency and the ability to make precise decisions on each hole. The factors of wind and extreme heat made the margin for error very small, so focus and game management became key.
According to Alga, similar challenges were felt by all participants, so the final results truly reflected each team's technical and mental readiness. From a coaching perspective, the experience of competing at this level becomes valuable capital for Indonesian athletes to face future international tournaments.
Beyond technical aspects, Alga also appreciated the support from various parties involved in the preparation and execution of the Indonesian golf team at the SEA Games 2025.
"We express our gratitude for the support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora), the Indonesian Olympic Committee, and the Indonesian Golf Association Board (PB PGI)," said Alga.
This achievement of one silver and one bronze may not yet fully meet the highest ambition, but it remains an important foundation for the continuity of national golf development. With comprehensive evaluation and ongoing competition, Indonesia is expected to enhance its competitiveness at regional and international levels in the future.
