The issue of Lionel Messi's return to Barcelona has resurfaced, but the Catalan club immediately denied it. Barcelona's Sports Director, Deco, confirmed there is currently no chance for the legend to wear the blaugrana jersey again, even as a loan player.

Deco emphasized this when asked about speculation regarding Messi's return to Camp Nou.

“I think it's impossible because Leo remains under contract (with Inter Miami),” stated the former Barcelona midfielder, citing transfer expert Fabrizio Romano's report.

For Deco, Messi's quality is unquestionable. However, bringing the 37-year-old player back isn't part of the club's current plans.

“Leo remains Leo. He can still contribute greatly and is still a phenomenal player. But that isn't a topic we'll address now,” he said.

Though the transfer door is closed, thunderous support for Messi remains eternal at Camp Nou. Deco acknowledged it's unsurprising that La Pulga's name still echoes weekly.

“It's completely natural. Leo's impact here will be everlasting. To me, Leo is the greatest player in Club History, alongside Johan Cruyff and Ronaldo Nazario,” he praised.

Deco also addressed comparisons between Messi and Barcelona's current young star, Lamine Yamal. While both are geniuses, he noted they developed under vastly different conditions.

Messi began his career surrounded by experienced teammates, while Yamal reached the main stage at an extremely young age under increasingly heavy modern expectations.

With direct confirmation from the sports director, rumors of Messi's Barcelona return have hit another dead end.

For now, Camp Nou can only reflect on the maestro's memories, while Messi continues his adventure with Inter Miami.
