As the Christmas and New Year holiday season approaches, the Jakarta-Bandung overland route once again prepares for its annual rhythm. Waves of tourists, long traffic jams, and packed travel plans. 

This year, KCIC brings fresh air for travelers seeking faster and more comfortable journeys. Sales for Whoosh high-speed train tickets officially opened 30 days prior (H-30). This allows the public to plan their holiday trips. 

Starting today, tickets for departures from December 20, 2025 onward are available. For prospective passengers, this KCIC decision offers breathing room. The public now has the opportunity to arrange travel more calmly and comfortably before the peak of the year-end tourist wave.

KCIC Corporate Secretary General Manager Eva Chairunisa emphasized that early ticket sales are a strategy to accommodate the mobility surge consistently occurring during the Christmas-New Year period.

"The year-end period typically sees peak movement, so we strongly recommend early bookings," stated Eva in a written release on Thursday, November 27, 2025.

Embracing sustainable travel and efficiency, KCIC implements dynamic pricing for Premium Economy class, starting from Rp250,000 for Jakarta-Bandung routes. 

This system allows fares to fluctuate based on purchase timing, demand levels, departure days, and seat availability. Early bookers stand a greater chance of securing the best rates.

For booking convenience, tickets are available through all official KCIC channels including the Whoosh App, website ticket.kcic.co.id, and partners like Access by KAI, Livin’ by Mandiri, BRImo, Wondr by BNI, Tiket.com, and Traveloka. 

However, KCIC encourages the public to use the official Whoosh app due to its standout features like flexible online cancellations and schedule changes.

"We hope people can book immediately to obtain the best fares and ensure schedule availability matching their needs," Eva remarked.
