The PGA Tour returns to the United States with one major mission: closing the 2025 season through the RSM Classic 2025. This final official tournament determines the fate of many golfers in the battle for FedEx Cup points and membership status for the 2026 season.

With 156 golfers ready to battle at Sea Island, the competitive atmosphere is heating up. The prize money on offer has raised the tournament's tension.

The 2025 RSM Classic offers a total purse of $7 million. This amount ensures the season-ending tournament remains a key event for golfers looking to secure their position in the FedEx Cup Fall.

The winner at Sea Island will receive $1.26 million, representing 18 percent of the total purse. This figure serves as prime motivation for those chasing their first win this season or needing a points surge to retain PGA Tour status.

Two Elite Courses at St. Simons Island as the Battlefield

The 2025 RSM Classic will be contested at Sea Island Golf Club's two prestigious courses—Seaside Course and Plantation Course—from November 20-23.

The Seaside Course ranks first on Golfweek’s Best 2025 list for top public-access courses in Georgia.

It also holds 25th place among America's Top 200 Resort Courses and ranks 76th in the Top 200 Modern Courses nationwide.

Meanwhile, the Plantation Course stands 6th among Georgia's best public-access courses.

With such formidable reputations, golfers face a demanding arena requiring precision, strategy, and composure.

Season-Ending Tournament That Decides Many Golfers' Fates

As the seventh and final FedEx Cup Fall event, the RSM Classic 2025 is far more than a year-end tournament.

Careers hang in the balance, playing statuses are determined, and momentum builds for the following season.
