Jakarta is preparing to become the spotlight of the golf world through the International Championship (JAKIC) 2025. The tournament will take place on October 2–5, 2025.
This event is not an ordinary tournament because JAKIC will directly enter the International Series calendar, a premium Asian Tour series known as the pathway to the LIV Golf League – one of the most prestigious golf leagues in the world.
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo emphasized the provincial government's full support for the event's organization.

"Through JAKIC 2025, we want to establish Jakarta's position as one of Asia's golf destinations," he stated in Jakarta on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
The Asian Tour welcomed the inclusion of JAKIC in the international calendar.
Jubilant A. Harmidy, an Asian Tour representative, noted Jakarta already has a long track record as a host of world-class golf.
"JAKIC's organization adds variety to our competitions while promoting Jakarta on the global stage," he said.
The International Series was only launched in 2022 as a collaboration between the Asian Tour and LIV Golf.
This series regularly features premium tournaments across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
Notably, golfers who finish the season at the top of the International Series Order of Merit automatically earn a playing ticket to the LIV Golf League.
With its debut status in this major event, JAKIC 2025 is expected to be a crucial stepping stone to cement Jakarta's name as one of the region's most prestigious golf destinations.
