Persib Bandung does not want to be complacent after their crucial win over Bali United in Week 11 of the 2025 BRI Super League. Coach Bojan Hodak and the Maung Bandung squad are now shifting their focus to the AFC Champions League (ACL) 2 match against Selangor FC on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 7:15 PM Western Indonesia Time at MBPJ Stadium, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

“For me, that's already in the past and I never look back. I look forward. The past cannot be changed, but the future can,” said Bojan Hodak, as quoted from the club's official website on Monday, November 3, 2025.

The 1-0 victory over Bali United indeed held special meaning. Besides extending their positive league streak, the result also broke Persib's "curse" of never having won at Bali United's home ground before.

Andrew Jung's solitary goal, assisted by Beckham Putra Nugraha's cross, was the decisive winner at Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar. However, Hodak reminded his team not to get carried away by the euphoria.

“People also said the team couldn't beat Bali. So now I have beaten Bali. There was always some kind of curse, but for me, that's already in the past,” he said.

The Croatian coach emphasized the team's focus is now entirely on the duel in Malaysia, which will be one of the decisive matches for Persib's fate in the Asian competition.

Persib arrives with a major mission to secure all three points to ensure their path to the ACL 2 Round of 16.

Currently, Maung Bandung leads the provisional Group G standings with seven points from three matches, ahead of their competitors. An additional three points would significantly widen their chance of qualifying earlier.
