Persib Bandung continues to maintain hope of advancing to the AFC Champions League (ACL) II 2025/2026 round of 16 after securing a dramatic victory over Selangor FC. Playing at MBPJ Stadium, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, on Thursday night, November 6, Maung Bandung won 3–2 and now leads the provisional Group G standings.
According to AFC records, Persib's victory came thanks to Andrew Jung's goal and two goals by Adam Alis. Earlier, Selangor FC had taken the lead through Chrigor Moraes and an own goal by Patricio Matricardi. However, Persib's determination in the second half ensured three crucial points were brought back to Bandung.
With this result, Persib Bandung has collected 10 points from four matches, one point ahead of second-placed Bangkok United. This situation places Persib in an ideal position to qualify for the ACL II round of 16.

Persib Bandung only needs four points from their remaining two matches to secure qualification to the ACL II round of 16 as group winners.
Meanwhile, the defeat ended Selangor FC's chances of progressing to the knockout stage. The Malaysian team now sits at the bottom of the standings without a single point from four matches.
In another match, Bangkok United closed in on Persib after defeating Lion City Sailors 2–1 at Bishan Stadium, Singapore. Bangkok United's winning goals were scored by Muhsen Al-Ghassani and Luka Adzic, while Lion City Sailors only managed to reduce the deficit through Lennart Thy.
This result places Bangkok United in second position with nine points, while Lion City Sailors have collected four points in third place.
With two matches remaining, Persib Bandung now holds the advantage. The consistency of Andrew Jung and his teammates will be key to securing their place in the round of 16 as group winners.
