Entering November 2025, the holiday atmosphere begins to be felt. As many people prepare plans to explore Indonesia's beautiful cities, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI brings good news: there are additional train schedules throughout this month!

This step was taken to anticipate the high public interest in traveling during the long holiday period, while also providing more time and route options for travelers wanting to explore the archipelago in a relaxed and memorable way.

KAI's Vice President of Public Relations, Anne Purba, explained that this policy is part of the company's commitment to continuously strengthen national mobility while supporting Indonesia's growing tourism sector.

"We see an upward trend in customer numbers every time the holiday season arrives. Therefore, KAI is adding train trips so that the public can travel more easily, comfortably, and enjoyably," said Anne.

Additional Trainsets, Boundless Holiday

During the period of 1–30 November 2025, KAI is providing several additional trips on a number of prime routes such as:

KA Argo Anjasmoro (Gambir – Surabaya Pasar Turi Round Trip)

KA Sancaka Utara (Cilacap – Surabaya Pasar Turi Round Trip)

KA Ijen Ekspres (Ketapang – Malang Round Trip)

KA Arjuno Ekspres (Malang – Surabaya Gubeng Round Trip)

Additionally, on 1–2, 6–9, 13–16, 20–23, and 27–30 November 2025, KAI will also operate:

KA Purwojaya (Gambir – Cilacap Round Trip)

KA Sancaka (Surabaya Gubeng – Yogyakarta Round Trip)

KA Parahyangan Fakultatif (Bandung – Gambir Round Trip)

KA Kaligung (Semarang Poncol – Tegal Round Trip)

KA Batavia (Solo Balapan – Gambir Round Trip)

And on 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30 November 2025, additional trips are also available for KA Cirebon Fakultatif (Cirebon – Gambir Round Trip).

All these additional trips are operated using modern trainsets, ranging from Executive Stainless Steel New Generation, Modified Economy New Generation, to Premium Economy Stainless Steel. Each fleet is equipped with an air conditioning system, more spacious interiors, and facilities designed to support comfort during long journeys.

"We want every trip to be a memorable experience. The public doesn't just move places, but also enjoys Indonesia's beautiful scenery from the train window," Anne continued.

Favorite Destinations and Positive Impact for Tourism

KAI notes several routes like Yogyakarta, Malang, Surabaya, Bandung, and Cirebon as the most sought-after destinations during the holiday season. These cities offer various attractions, from natural tourism, culture, to distinctive culinary delights that always tempt flavor explorers.

With these additional schedules, travelers now have a wider opportunity to experience a holiday without rush, taking the train while enjoying the beauty of rice fields, mountains, and changing city landscapes at every station.

Besides providing comfort for passengers, this KAI initiative also brings positive economic impacts for the regions. Tourist activities around stations create opportunities for MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises), local accommodations, and tourist transportation.

"Every train journey benefits many people, from small traders, MSMEs, to communities whose livelihoods depend on tourism. KAI wants to continue being part of the economic chain that brings prosperity," stated Anne.

Book Your Ticket, Sit Comfortably, and Enjoy Your Journey

For easy reservations, tickets can be purchased through the Access by KAI application, the official website kai.id, or other official KAI sales partners. Considering ticket demand towards the end of the year tends to increase, KAI urges prospective passengers not to delay booking.

"Trains have always been an efficient, safe, and story-filled travel choice. Let's fill this November holiday with a memorable journey by train and feel the beauty of Indonesia from station to station," concluded Anne.
