The 2026 AFF Cup semi-finals will pit Singapore against Thailand, and Malaysia against Vietnam. Thailand secured their spot in the final four as Group B champions after concluding the group stage with an unblemished record, while Malaysia advanced as the group runners-up.
Thailand locked in top spot in Group B after defeating Myanmar 2-0 at Rajamangala Stadium, Bangkok, on Saturday evening WIB. The War Elephants squad won all four of their group stage matches, scoring 10 total goals without conceding a single one throughout the phase.
Thailand played aggressively right from kickoff, even though they only required a draw to confirm their semi-final ticket. The home side's pressure produced a goal in the 11th minute, as Kanitsribampen Worachit successfully converted a penalty kick.

Myanmar, who needed a full win to keep their qualification hopes alive, then ramped up their attacking intensity. The visiting team took greater risks as they pushed for an equalising goal.
Instead, Thailand were awarded a second penalty early in the second half, after another foul was committed by a Myanmar player inside the penalty box.
Taker Jehhanafee Mamah did not waste the opportunity, converting the spot kick to extend the score to 2-0.
Myanmar attempted to find gaps to reduce the deficit, but no additional goals were scored before the match concluded.
Malaysia Secure Runner-Up Position
In the other group fixture, Malaysia locked in second place in Group B with a narrow 1-0 victory over the Philippines at Kuala Lumpur Stadium.
Pavithran Gunalan scored Malaysia's sole decisive goal in the 16th minute. Malaysia successfully held their lead until the final whistle. With the additional three points, they finished the group stage with 9 points from four matches.
Malaysia recorded three wins and one loss across the group phase. This result was enough for Harimau Malaya to finish as Group B runners-up and confirm their semi-final berth.
For the two-legged semi-final ties, Thailand will face Singapore, while Malaysia will meet Vietnam.
