Persib Bandung is just one step away from lifting the 2026 President's Cup trophy. New signing striker Balsa Sekulic is determined to deliver the title for Maung Bandung when they face Persebaya Surabaya in the final match, hosted at Kapten I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Bali on Thursday evening, 6 August.
The Montenegrin forward stated he has thoroughly enjoyed his first experience competing in an Indonesian pre-season tournament. While acknowledging Persebaya will be formidable opposition, Balsa remains confident Persib can finish the tournament with victory.
"I have played in similar tournaments back in my home country before, but this is my first time here in Indonesia and I have felt really good. I hope we will come away with the win in the final," Balsa said during the official pre-final press conference for the 2026 President's Cup held in Jakarta.

Having defeated Arema FC, Persebaya will challenge Persib Bandung in the 2026 President's Cup Final.
Balsa's consistent performances across the tournament have been key to Persib advancing to the final. The 28-year-old striker has scored three goals from four matches played so far.
He opened his account with the winning goal in Persib's 1-0 victory over DPMM FC. His finishing quality was on show once again when he found the net against Tampines Rovers with a powerful long range strike.
His most recent decisive contribution came when he converted the match-winning penalty that secured Persib's 2-1 win against Persija Jakarta, booking the club's place in the final.
A victory over Persebaya will give Persib their second ever President's Cup title. The club won the very first edition of this tournament back in 2015, when Maung Bandung defeated Sriwijaya FC 2-0 at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium through goals from Achmad Jufriyanto and Makan Konate.
Balsa arrived at Persib Bandung with an impressive competitive record. Before joining the club, he netted 22 goals from 48 senior appearances for FK Mornar Bar in the top division of the Montenegrin League.
He represented the Montenegro U-21 national squad between 2017 and 2020, before earning his first senior international cap for Montenegro in 2022.
Balsa's signing adds to the list of Montenegrin players that have played for Persib, following former club players Miljan Radovic, Zdravko Dragicevic, Vladimir Vujovic, and Ilija Spasojevic.
