Indonesia National Team will face Timor Leste in a Group A fixture of the ASEAN Hyundai Cup, otherwise known as the 2026 AFF Cup. The head-to-head record favours Indonesia. Across all six previous meetings, the Garuda squad has defeated Timor Leste on every occasion.
Indonesia is scheduled to host this match against Timor Leste at Chonburi Stadium, Thailand, on Friday 31 July at 17.00 WIB.
This fixture presents an opportunity for John Herdman's side to continue their positive form, while also keeping their chances alive to compete at the top of Group A.

Timor Leste vs Indonesia at the 2026 AFF Cup, John Herdman still has two debutants available for selection.
The first ever meeting between Indonesia and Timor Leste was held on 21 November 2010 in an international friendly match. On that day, Indonesia closed out the game with a dominant 6-0 victory.
Following that initial encounter, Indonesia has won every single subsequent match against Timor Leste. This consistent dominance has also extended to official AFF Cup tournament meetings between the two sides.
Second AFF Cup Meeting
Prior to the 2026 edition, Indonesia and Timor Leste had only met once before in the AFF Cup, on 13 November 2018. On that occasion, Garuda secured a 3-1 victory.
This result remains the only prior AFF Cup meeting between the two nations ahead of their 2026 clash.
The most recent meeting between Indonesia and Timor Leste took place on 30 January 2022. At the time, Indonesia was still under the management of Shin Tae-yong, and recorded another comfortable 3-0 win.
Indonesia's three goals were scored by Terens Puhiri, Ramai Rumakiek, and Ricky Kambuaya.
Across all head-to-head fixtures, Indonesia has scored a total of 21 goals while only conceding twice.
Indonesia Target Second Victory
Indonesia currently occupies 3rd place in the provisional 2026 AFF Cup Group A standings, holding 3 points from 1 match played.
Singapore lead the group with 6 points from 2 fixtures, while Vietnam also hold 3 points from 1 match completed.
Indonesia will have the chance to climb the standings should they secure victory over Timor Leste.
In contrast, Timor Leste enter this match in a far more difficult position. They sit dead last in the group with zero points, having suffered two consecutive defeats.
Timor Leste were first crushed 7-0 by Vietnam, before falling to a 0-2 defeat against Singapore. Alongside Cambodia, they are one of only two teams in the tournament yet to register a single point.
