The Bezz's Dominance From the Start
During Friday practice, Bezzecchi dominated throughout the session, building on his impressive performance from Free Practice 1.
From the start of the session, Bezzecchi was highly dominant, followed closely by Gresini Racing rider Alex Marquez who shadowed him for a long time.
The competition intensified when defending champion Marc Marquez began to find his rhythm.
Slowly but surely, Marc sharpened his lap times, entering the top ten by lap 10.
Nevertheless, The Bezz remained untouchable at the front.
Midway through the session, Fabio Di Giannantonio surprised by briefly taking the top spot from Bezzecchi.
Diggia's position remained unchallenged at the front until the closing stages, when Bezzecchi pushed his bike to the limit, setting the fastest lap record.
In that crucial moment, Bezzecchi showcased his quality as a strong title contender this season.
On the demanding, hot Buriram track, his 1:28.528 lap set a new benchmark for his rivals.
Meanwhile, Marc, who struggled throughout the session, managed to climb to second place, displacing Diggia.
This result places the defending champion in a competitive position ahead of qualifying, yet he still had to acknowledge Bezzecchi's explosive speed.
The new record at Buriram signals that Aprilia is ready to challenge Ducati's dominance in the 2026 season.
