Jakarta – The hope of seeing the Indonesian Red and White flag flying atop international golf podiums is no longer just a distant dream. With an increasingly structured development system, The Junior Golf Series (JGS) Indonesia has officially laid out a clear paved path for young athletes to break onto the global stage, and finally end the long-standing pattern of Indonesian athletes only excelling on home soil.
This grand strategy to build a National Golf Ecosystem was discussed in full detail during the latest episode of Itsme Podcast, hosted by Raisha and Yatna at Royale Jakarta Golf Club on Sunday, 19 April 2026. Notably, this podcast episode featured JGS Indonesia General Chairman and owner of the Ayam Gepuk Pak Gembus culinary brand, Rido Nurul Adityawan, alongside his 9-year-old son M. Devian - who is also an active competitor in this Junior Golf tournament series.
Steel Mental Fortitude At Nine Years Old
During this interactive discussion, M. Devian became the central focus of the conversation. Despite his extremely young age, Devian showed remarkable maturity and clear ambition as he shared experiences competing in JGS Indonesia circuits and various amateur Golf Tournaments at both regional and international levels.

"Golf trains your concentration and focus. You have to stay calm out on the course," Devian stated into the Itsme Podcast microphone.
For Devian, the structured competitive environment provided by JGS Indonesia 2026—which runs 16 tournaments across the season with a formal Point Race System—has been an invaluable challenging platform to build unshakable competitive mental strength from an early age.
Rido Nurul Adityawan emphasized that the participation of his son, along with hundreds of other young golfers, is solid proof that JGS Indonesia has grown into a proper talent development crucible. With official competition access across more than 12 countries, Indonesian Young Golfers now have direct career pathways to compete at prestigious events including the Singapore Junior Masters, Thailand Junior Masters, and the NextGen Amateur Tour in Australia.
Working Together For The Global Stage
Events such as the recently concluded The JGS Elite International Championship, held successfully at Royale Jakarta Golf Club late April, has already produced promising new golf talents across all age categories. From local prospects Abraraza Adriano Musyanif to Arhata Putra Malik, this ecosystem has demonstrated it functions exactly as intended.
However, nurturing more prodigies like M. Devian who can hold their own at international level will require substantial government backing. Supportive regulations and simplified access to training facilities will act as the main catalyst to produce this new generation of champions that can make their mark on the global golf world.
