Jakarta – The JGS Indonesia Elite Junior International Championship, hosted at Royale Jakarta Golf Club, has successfully launched new rising talent onto the international amateur golf circuit. In the A Girls division, gifted young Singaporean golfer Passion Hsu claimed the championship title after delivering commanding, consistent performances from the very first day of competition.

This impressive victory placed her at the top of the final leaderboard and secured critical World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) points. After receiving her winner's trophy, Passion Hsu joined ITSMe host Raisha for an exclusive on-site interview at Royale Jakarta Golf Club on 30 April 2026.

Dominant And Uncatchable Performance

Speaking with Raisha, the 15-year-old athlete explained that meticulous preparation was the foundation of her success. Hsu travelled to Jakarta four full days ahead of the tournament specifically to adapt and practice on the course at Royale Jakarta Golf Club. This strategy proved highly effective, allowing her to compete with unshakable confidence.

Even with her preparation, Hsu acknowledged that the final tournament day presented extreme challenges. "This final round felt far more difficult. The pin positions were placed in very tricky locations, and Jakarta's hot heat also really pushed every player physically," Hsu told Raisha with a bright, proud smile.

While she posted a final round score of 80 (+8), Hsu's overall tournament total of 224 (+8) remained firmly out of reach for all competing players. This victory confirms her standing as one of the most promising junior golf talents across Southeast Asia.

Accelerating Junior Golf Development

This edition of JGS Indonesia welcomed 55 junior golfers from Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and host nation Indonesia, competing across age categories Class A through Class F. The highest stakes competition unfolded in Class A and B, where players contested for official WAGR ranking points. Alongside Passion Hsu's win, the A Boys championship title was claimed by leading home talent Jayawardana Dornan.

The successful delivery of this internationally recognised tournament represents a major step forward for domestic golf development systems. With official WAGR sanctioning, the JGS Indonesia Elite Junior International Championship provides a critical pathway for local athletes to advance their global rankings without requiring constant international travel.

This event forms part of The Junior Golf Series, a programme dedicated to building sustainable long-term athlete development structures. For the 2026 competition season, JGS Indonesia has scheduled 16 structured official tournaments operating under a standardised Point Race System.

National ranking points accumulated across these events will culminate at the Indonesian Junior Masters 2026. This flagship tournament will act as the official qualification gateway, selecting the top 16 Indonesian Junior Golfers to progress to elite global competitions including the Asian Junior Masters and Australia's NextGen Amateur Tour.

By delivering world class international competition at a premium venue such as Royale Jakarta Golf Club, JGS Indonesia has established a clear accelerated pathway for emerging junior talent across the region to reach the global World Golf stage.
