Bandung – Hundreds of thousands of Bobotoh (Persib supporters) flooded public gathering points across downtown Bandung, West Java on Sunday (24/5/2026). This sea of people clad in the club's signature blue took to the streets to celebrate the historic milestone for Persib Bandung, who claimed victory in the 2025/2026 Super League – completing an unprecedented hat-trick of consecutive top-flight titles in Indonesian football across three straight seasons.

This mass public celebration erupted just one day after the tense final league fixture held at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA) Stadium on Saturday (23/5/2026) afternoon. Head coach Bojan Hodak's squad locked in the championship after fighting out a gritty goalless 0-0 draw against Persijap Jepara. That single critical point put Maung Bandung atop the final Standings with a total of 79 points. Despite finishing level on points with closest title rivals Borneo FC, Persib retained their crown by virtue of a superior head-to-head record.

The electric atmosphere that first roared to life among tens of thousands of fans inside GBLA's stands spilled out across the entire Flower City. Supporters launched a vehicle convoy procession from Gedung Sate heading towards Gedung Merdeka. Severe crowd congestion blanketed all major arterial roads, spanning Jalan Banda, Merdeka, Asia Afrika, Bandung Central Square, Braga, Lower Dago, right through to the Pasupati Flyover district.

Euphoria unfolded in full force. Proud supporter chants including "Champions again, Persib Bandung" echoed through the streets, giant club flags were waved aloft, and bright burning flares lit up every corner of the city. The overwhelming public turnout brought central city traffic to a standstill for hours.

32-year-old Whisnu, a local Bandung Bobotoh, stated he had joined the celebrations with friends since midday to take part in the victory convoy. "When Persib wins, you celebrate it properly. Three titles back to back? This is something unbelievable for every single Bobotoh," he told Antara reporters amid the festivities.

He also voiced high hopes that Persib's dominance would not end at domestic level. "Hopefully next season Persib can make their mark at Asian competition level. This club can become a real force across the continent," he added with visible passion.

To ensure the celebration remained safe and orderly, combined personnel from the National Police, Indonesian Armed Forces, Municipal Public Order Agency, and Transportation Department were deployed en masse across the city. Officers stood on duty managing traffic flows and overseeing the crowds, to allow this historic three-peat victory celebration to conclude peacefully.
