TRIONDA FINAL has been named the Official Match Ball for the Semi-Final and Final rounds of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The semi-finals through to the final match have always been the most prestigious stage of the World Cup. To mark this occasion, adidas has launched a new identity through TRIONDA FINAL, the official match ball that will be used exclusively for the 2026 World Cup semi-finals, third place play-off, and final matches.

This differs from all previous tournament editions. While final stage match balls historically only received minor new colour adjustments, adidas has introduced an entirely custom design this year to give these decisive matches their own unique visual character.

The appearance of TRIONDA FINAL is dominated by a combination of gold, black, and white. The gold tone was selected to represent the World Cup trophy, while the black elements deliver an elegant and exclusive impression.

To add greater visual dynamism, adidas added red and pink accent details. These additional highlights ensure the ball remains clearly visible both while travelling across the pitch and when viewed on television broadcasts.

Beyond its colour scheme, the TRIONDA FINAL design also pays tribute to the host cities that will witness the crowning of the next world champion. The names Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, and New York/New Jersey are displayed prominently on the ball panels, while all other host cities are represented through the signature triangular graphic pattern of the TRIONDA ball line.

Despite the refreshed exterior design, the performance characteristics of the ball remain unchanged. adidas has retained all technology originally introduced on the standard TRIONDA match ball launched in October 2025.

One of its core innovations is the seamless four-panel construction. This design marks the first time such a system has been used in World Cup history, engineered to produce far more stable ball flight through the air without compromising accuracy or player control feel.

The ball surface features a specialised texture to improve grip and touch response for players. This is intended to deliver consistent passing, shooting, and ball handling performance across all match conditions.

Another modern technical feature included is Connected Ball Technology. An electronic system embedded inside the ball transmits real-time movement data directly to Video Assistant Referee (VAR) systems.

This information provides additional reference for match officials when making decisions, particularly during critical moments such as offside calls, handball incidents, and other situations requiring precise analysis.

The launch of TRIONDA FINAL also reflects adidas' ongoing development of World Cup official match balls. Ever since the brand was appointed as official supplier for the 1970 tournament, every generation of match ball has introduced technological updates adapted to the evolution of modern football.

For the 2026 World Cup, this innovation is realised through the four-panel design, which is stated to achieve an optimal balance between ball speed, precision, and flight stability.

Beyond on-pitch use, TRIONDA FINAL will also be released for collectors and football fans worldwide. The ball will be available for purchase starting 7 July 2026 at an approximate price of IDR 3,000,000.
