Lucas Herbert secured victory from start to finish at LIV Golf Virginia on Sunday, May 10, 2026, local time, after closing the tournament with a 3-under 69 and a four-stroke lead over Sergio Garcia at Trump National.
This victory marks Herbert's first title in LIV Golf. The Australian golfer now moves up to third place in the points Standings and secures a spot in the U.S. Open. This will be his first appearance at the U.S. Open in the last three years.
“My first major was at Shinnecock in 2018,” said Herbert.

“It's exciting to be going back there and seeing what I've learned since then. I can't wait to get there and try to play like I did this week,” he explained.
This marks the second consecutive week that President Donald Trump has attended the final round of a Golf Tournament held at his course. At last week's PGA Tour event, Cameron Young emerged as the winner at Trump National Doral, Miami.
Garcia carded a 70 to finish as runner-up, while Bryson DeChambeau closed the tournament with a 66 to secure third place.
Anthony Kim, who previously won in Australia earlier this year, posted an impressive 62 that helped the 4Aces team force a playoff. The team then defeated the Fireballs to claim the team title.
Herbert admitted he was feeling under the weather at the start of the week. In fact, he only managed to play nine holes before the tournament started on Thursday.
Nevertheless, Herbert performed exceptionally by opening the tournament with scores of 64 and 63 to build an eight-stroke lead. Although he had some tense moments, he eventually cruised to his first victory in his third season at LIV Golf.
