Anthony Kim finally completed his sensational comeback story by winning LIV Golf Adelaide on Sunday, February 15, 2026. The Golfer from the United States closed the tournament with an impressive 9-under 63 and total 23 under, securing a three-stroke victory over Jon Rahm.

This title marks Kim's first win in nearly 16 years, since he last lifted the trophy at the 2010 Houston Open on the PGA Tour. The victory feels even more special given his career journey that was halted for 12 years due to his battle with drugs and alcohol.

Kim even had to go through qualifying tournaments last month to secure his spot on this season's LIV Tour. But at The Grange Golf Club in Australia, the 40-year-old golfer performed exceptionally under pressure.

“This is incredible. But I'll never stop fighting for my family,” said Kim, embraced by his wife Emily and young daughter Bella after securing the title with par on the 18th green.

“God gave me talent. I was able to display great golf today. I knew it would happen. No one else needed to believe in me except myself, and for anyone struggling, you can overcome anything,” he stated.

Playing before thousands of spectators in sunny weather, Kim seized momentum with four consecutive birdies on holes 12 through 15. He sank putts from 17, 11, 14, and 17 feet, then added a 15-foot putt on the 17th hole to take a three-stroke lead heading into the final hole.

Though he failed to birdie the 18th hole and settled for par, Kim still locked in his first victory since 2010. He nearly matched the course record, missing by just one stroke.

At his career peak, Kim reached world number six in 2008 and was part of the winning US Ryder Cup team. Last year he played six times on the Asian Tour and made four cuts, including a fifth-place finish at the Saudi International.

Meanwhile, Bryson DeChambeau carded a 74 and tied for third with Tyrell Hatton (67) and Peter Uihlein (68) at 17 under. The Ripper team featuring Cam Smith, Lucas Herbert, Marc Leishman, and Elvis Smylie also dominated again by claiming the team victory for the second consecutive week.

After the match, Kim spoke openly again about his life transformation.

“I would say I wasn't the best person, the best partner, whatever you call it, the best son I could be when I was young,” he shared.

“But who I am today is a completely different person. With God, my family, and my peace as the keys to my life, I can go as far as I want,” he added.

After an emotional moment with his family on the 18th green, Kim revealed the meaning of this victory.

“The best moment of my life so far. Obviously when Bella was born, my life and Emily's changed.”

“But to be able to share this moment, even though Bella won't understand it now, someday she will. For her to be able to run on the green and see her father isn't a loser is one of the most special moments of my life.”

He also affirmed his ambition to create broader impact.

“I want to inspire people. I told my wife: The only way I can reach the many people I want to reach is by winning.”

“I can talk about my struggles all I want, but if I don't have a platform, then I won't reach many people. When I was in rehab, that was my goal.”

I said, if I get out of here, I want to help others, and golf wasn't an option.

“So having this platform, and being welcomed with open arms by HE and LIV has greatly helped my growth and boosted my confidence that others believe in me.”

The LIV Golf Adelaide victory isn't just a trophy for Anthony Kim, but a symbol of resurrection, redemption, and a new chapter in his career and life.
