Persebaya Goal Fest! Bajol Ijo Destroy PSBS Biak 4-0 at GBT

Persebaya Surabaya put up a mighty performance when they hosted PSBS Biak in week 31 of the BRI Super League 2025/2026, Saturday, May 2, 2026. Playing at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium (GBT), the Green Force secured a resounding 4-0 victory over the visitors.

Persebaya's four winning goals were scored by Milos Raickovic in the 53rd and 66th minutes, and a brace from Francisco Rivera in the 75th and 81st minutes.

From the opening minutes of the match, Persebaya immediately took the initiative to attack and dominated ball possession. The short-passing game pattern implemented by the home team made it difficult for PSBS Biak to develop their play.

Persebaya's first chance came in the sixth minute through a long-range shot by Milos Raickovic. However, the ball still went wide of the target.

The Green Force continued to apply pressure through several chances created by Gali Freitas, Mihailo Perovic, and Toni Firmansyah. Nevertheless, poor finishing kept the score at 0-0 until the first half ended.

On the other hand, PSBS Biak posed a threat through quick counter-attacking schemes. The visitors' best chance came in the 30th minute when Hassan Nader beat the offside trap. However, that opportunity was thwarted by the alert Persebaya Goalkeeper, Andhika Ramadhani, under the crossbar.

Entering the second half, Persebaya's attacking intensity increased. The result was evident in the 53rd minute when Milos Raickovic unleashed a powerful shot from outside the penalty box after receiving a pass from Bruno Moreira. That goal put Persebaya ahead 1-0.

The opening goal boosted the confidence of the Persebaya players. In the 66th minute, Milos put his name on the scoresheet again after capitalizing on a precise pass from Malik Risaldi.

Persebaya's lead increased further after Francisco Rivera also scored twice. The Mexican midfielder's first goal came in the 75th minute after receiving a pass from Bruno Paraiba.

Six minutes later, Rivera breached the PSBS Biak goal again with a powerful shot from inside the penalty box that the opposing goalkeeper failed to stop.

PSBS Biak actually had a chance to reduce the deficit in the 85th minute through Raja Siregar. However, his shot only hit the crossbar.

Until the final whistle blew, Persebaya remained in control of the match and secured a resounding 4-0 victory at home.

The additional three points mean Persebaya now has 51 points, opening opportunities to climb to fourth place in the BRI Super League 2025/2026 temporary Standings. That position could be achieved if Malut United FC fails to win against Persis Solo.

Meanwhile, this defeat leaves PSBS Biak languishing further at the bottom of the standings with 18 points, edging closer to the threat of relegation.

In the next match, Persebaya will Travel to face Persis Solo at Manahan Stadium on Saturday (9/5) at 7:00 PM WIB. Meanwhile, PSBS Biak is scheduled to host Dewa United Banten FC at Maguwoharjo Stadium on Friday (8/5) at 7:00 PM WIB.
