Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi has decided to withdraw from the Indonesian Women's Volleyball national team ahead of the training camp to face three international championships. The Central Board of the All-Indonesia Volleyball Association (PP PBVSI) respected and approved Megawati's decision after receiving an official letter from the Volleyball Player from Jember.
Megawati took this step based on various considerations, ranging from physical condition, professional career journey, to her personal future plans.
PP PBVSI continues to fully support Megawati, who has been a crucial pillar of the team.

The resignation of this opposite-position player comes before the training camp for three major events: the AVC Nations Cup for Women in the Philippines in June, SEA V League for Women in Vietnam and Thailand from late July to early August, and the AVC Continental Cup for Women in Tianjin from August 21–30.
Megawati's absence reduces the team's firepower. However, the federation ensures the training camp program will proceed to prepare the best lineup for the packed competition schedule.
Previously, PP PBVSI had appointed 17 players for the training camp, though no official announcement has been made regarding Megawati's replacement.
Loudry Maspaitella, Deputy Head of Development and Achievement at PP PBVSI, emphasized that all summoned players must join immediately.
"Players must arrive at Padepokan Bolavoli Jenderal Kunarto, Sentul, by May 4, 2026 at the latest," he stated.
Without Megawati—previously the mainstay of the attack line—the coaching staff must act quickly to adjust tactics and composition.
The Garuda Pertiwi squad still features key players like Mediol Stiovanny Yoku, Tisya Amallya Putri, and Maradanti Namira.
Additionally, attention focuses on debutant Shindy Sasgia Dwi Yuniar, who received her first senior national team call-up.
