Mountain Climbing in China is no longer solely about physical endurance. This technology offers a new way to enjoy mountain panoramas.

The Chinese government is developing AI exoskeleton robot technology to assist tourists in Mendaki Gunung. This initiative is part of the growing trend of technology-based Tourism (Smart Tourism) that has strengthened in recent years.

Reported by Xinhuanet, this technology has already been implemented at several destinasi populer, including Mount Tai since February 2025.

On the mountain famous for its thousands of steps, tourists can use a device shaped like "robotic legs". This device, attached to the waist and thighs, makes each step feel lighter.

Exoskeleton development doesn't stop at the tourism sector. Several technology companies in China continue to refine this device, with plans for broader utilization, ranging from healthcare and rehabilitation to daily activities.

This technology relies on artificial intelligence (AI) to read and adjust to body movements in real-time. 

When the user takes a step, sensors capture this movement, then the motor system provides synchronized additional thrust.

The effect isn't to make steps faster, but lighter. Users feel as if they gain extra energy, helping them tread hiking paths without tiring quickly.

The device is also equipped with a battery lasting several hours, sufficient for one hiking session. Weighing about 1.8 kilograms, its design is compact to ensure comfort throughout the journey.

The use of exoskeletons in Destinasi Wisata is part of the smart tourism concept, an approach that integrates modern technology with the Travel Experience.

Through this concept, travel becomes not only more practical but also safer and more inclusive. 

Exoskeletons provide a solution for tourists with physical limitations to enjoy hiking trails, while also expanding the tourism market reach.

Groups like the Elderly, who previously struggled to hike, now have the opportunity to reach Destinasi Alam. 

On the other hand, this technology also presents a New Attraction. For some tourists, trying an exoskeleton is not just an aid, but an experience in itself.
