Southampton intensified their aggression after the break, breaking the deadlock in the 79th minute through Finn Azaz's strike that put them 1-0 ahead.
The lead proved short-lived as Manchester City responded immediately. Belgian winger Jeremy Doku equalized 1-1 by converting Tijjani Reijnders' pass.
City's resurgence culminated in the 88th minute when Nico Gonzalez sealed the victory by finishing Doku's precise cross, completing the 2-1 comeback.
Southampton pressed for an equalizer during added time, but City's defense held firm until the final whistle.
This victory sends Manchester City to the FA Cup Final, where they will face the winner of the Chelsea vs. Leeds United semi-final. The championship match is scheduled for 16 May 2026 at Wembley Stadium.
