Persib Bandung enters a crucial phase in the hunt for the BRI Super League 2025/2026 title. Ahead of the vital duel against Arema FC in week 29 at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium (GBLA), Friday 24 April, Persib manager Umuh Muchtar demands full focus from all players.

Umuh emphasized that the remaining six matches must be treated like finals. There is no room for error if Maung Bandung wants to maintain its top position in the Standings until the end of the season.

“Six more matches, no losses. win, win, win. That's the essence and the team remains motivated,” said Umuh in Bandung, Thursday.

The pressure at the top of the Standings makes every point extremely valuable. Therefore, according to Umuh, the mentality of the squad under coach Bojan Hodak will be the decisive factor.

He reminded that Persib must not be complacent with the opponent's position in the mid-table. Arema is still considered to have the potential to cause a surprise if not faced with maximum readiness.

Umuh stated Persib's target is clear: to sweep all remaining matches in order to keep the championship opportunity firmly in their own hands.

“Persib cannot slip up at this crucial moment if they want to win the title again this season,” said Umuh.

Besides focusing on the next match, Persib is also urged to forget the 1-1 Draw result against Dewa United away last week. That result should be seen as an important lesson, not a burden to carry continuously.

“All the players were disappointed, the players were really hurt. But I've told them, there is still time (remaining matches),” he said.

In the dressing room, young midfielder Beckham Putra asked his teammates to only concentrate on their own performance without being distracted by the results of rival teams.

According to Beckham, calculating the moves of rivals could actually divert the team's focus from the main target: securing three points in every match.

“We must focus on our own team, no need to think about other teams. If we keep winning, we will pull further away from our rivals,” said Beckham.

With six matches remaining and the title chase pressure intensifying, the duel against Arema becomes a significant test for Persib Bandung. If they can overcome this challenge, the path to the trophy will open wider.
