Persib Bandung faces a crucial test when visiting Dewa United FC's home ground in the 28th week of the Super League 2025/2026. The match at Banten International Stadium on Monday, 19 April 2026 is vital for Maung Bandung to maintain their top position.

Pressure intensified after closest rivals Borneo FC and Persija Jakarta secured wins in previous matches. These results tightened the point gap, making victory over Dewa United mandatory for Persib.

Persib midfielder Beckham Putra confirmed the team's readiness. He considered their previous win against Bali United crucial for maintaining consistency under pressure.

"Even with ten players against Bali, we scored – that's a positive. Hopefully we keep improving through these seven finals, which are extremely important. We're focusing match by match," Beckham stated on Sunday, 10 April 2026.

The match presents unique conditions as it will be played without spectators. This could benefit Persib by eliminating home supporter pressure.

"This is good for us – no crowd means no pressure. It's a plus for playing freely and enjoying ourselves," he explained.

However, Dewa United remains formidable with former Persib players like Edo, Nick, and Ricky Kambuaya, plus national team members Egy Maulana Vikri and Ivar Jenner. Their squad depth poses constant threats.

"It'll be an exciting match, but most importantly we focus on ourselves. We must prepare well against Dewa," he emphasized.

The match will be spectator-free per Dewa United's official letter to Persib. This follows Police recommendations and Sports competition security regulations.

"The match proceeds without spectators and away team supporters. We request dissemination to supporter groups that PERSIB fans cannot attend Banten International Stadium," read the letter signed by Dewa United FC Committee Head Sigit Riyanto.

Responding to this, Persib Head of Communication Adhi Pratama urged all Bobotoh to comply and support from home.

"We've received Dewa United's official letter. We strongly request Bobotoh not to force attendance. Let's support our pride from home," stated Adhi Pratama.

Amid these circumstances, Persib is expected to leverage this momentum while maintaining consistency to stay atop the Standings.
