The England national team secured a spot in the 2026 World Cup after crushing Latvia 0-5 at Daugava Stadium early Wednesday morning WIB. This emphatic victory cemented England's position atop the Group K European Qualifiers standings with a perfect 18 points from six matches.

“With two games remaining, second-placed Albania can no longer catch England's points tally,” UEFA's official website reported.

England displayed confidence from kickoff. Thomas Tuchel's side built attacks from the wings and dominated possession throughout the first half.

The opening goal came in the 26th minute when Anthony Gordon finished a slick move from the left flank. Momentum firmly swung toward The Three Lions.

Just before halftime, Harry Kane doubled the lead with a fierce long-range strike from outside the penalty area.

England's relentless pressure forced a Latvian foul in the box. Kane converted the resulting penalty during first-half stoppage time for his brace. The Three Lions entered halftime with a commanding 3-0 advantage.

England grew even more dominant after the break. Relentless attacking led to Latvian defender Maksims Tonisevs scoring an own goal in the 58th minute, extending the lead to 4-0.

England remained hungry. Substitute players made their mark as Eberechi Eze completed the scoring in the 85th minute with an unstoppable shot past Latvia's goalkeeper.

This result makes England the first European nation to book their place for next year's tournament across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Six consecutive flawless victories demonstrate Tuchel's squad's seriousness and consistency. No draws, no defeats – only triumphs.
