Barcelona's injury storm shows no sign of abating. This time, it's the main striker, Robert Lewandowski, who must step aside after suffering a thigh muscle problem while training with the Polish national team.
The 37-year-old player underwent medical tests on Tuesday, and the results were not good. He has a tear in his left thigh hamstring muscle.
"Player Robert Lewandowski has a tear in the biceps femoris muscle of his left thigh. He is out, and the recovery time will depend on the progression of the injury," stated Barcelona's official announcement via the club's social media.

Although the club did not provide a precise recovery time estimate, reports from AS suggest Lewandowski is expected to be sidelined for about four weeks.
This situation is clearly bad news for Barcelona, who are entering a crucial period of the season. Lewandowski's absence adds to the long list of injured players in Xavi Hernández's squad. Previously, names like Gavi, Fermin Lopez, Joan Garcia, Dani Olmo, Raphinha, Lamine Yamal, and Marc-André ter Stegen had already entered the treatment room. In total, eight key Blaugrana players are now sidelined.
If Lewandowski's recovery does indeed take a month, he will almost certainly miss the high-stakes El Clasico match against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu on October 26th.
This situation has left Barcelona's coach and fans anxious. The upcoming El Clasico is not just about prestige; it could also be decisive for the top spot in the La Liga table.
However, amidst these dark clouds, there remains a glimmer of hope. Raphinha, Fermin Lopez, and Lamine Yamal are reported to be showing positive progress and could potentially return to the pitch soon. Their presence could provide additional firepower for the Blaugrana to remain competitive even without their main predator in attack.
For Barcelona, maintaining momentum and spirit amidst this injury storm will be a major test, and fans worldwide are certainly waiting to see how the Catalan club responds to this challenge on the pitch.
