KluivertOut Explodes! Will Shin Tae-yong Return to Indonesian National Team?

The Indonesian national team's failure to advance to the 2026 World Cup left not only disappointment on the field but also turmoil on social media. Across various platforms, netizens collectively vented their frustration through a hashtag that remains trending: KluivertOut.

The KluivertOut hashtag went viral after Indonesia was confirmed to have failed to qualify for the World Cup. During the fourth round of Group B World Cup qualifiers, Indonesia suffered two defeats: 2-3 against Saudi Arabia and 0-1 against Iraq. 

These losses led many Garuda supporters to scrutinize coach Patrick Kluivert's performance. Criticism extended beyond tactics to demands for the dismissal of the Dutch architect. 

Netizens pushed for Kluivert's removal through KluivertOut on social media. Amid this wave of disappointment, one name was celebrated anew: Shin Tae Yong. 

The South Korean coach previously managed the national team before being replaced by Kluivert. 

As scrutiny intensified on Kluivert, netizens expressed hope for Shin Tae Yong's return to coach the Indonesian national team.

Shin Tae Yong is currently without a club after being dismissed by Ulsan HD. Many netizens consider this a "perfect moment" for his return to the Garuda squad.

Meanwhile, Kluivert's future remains uncertain. PSSI's executive committee will hold meetings to determine his fate.

Dismissing Kluivert carries consequences. If chosen, PSSI must pay compensation since Kluivert's contract remains active.

Patrick Kluivert's contract with PSSI still has approximately 14 months remaining. This means if termination occurs in October 2025, PSSI must pay the remainder.

The national team faces two options: persist with Kluivert and seek solutions, or dismiss him by paying compensation. 

Will this mark the end of the Kluivert era or a new chapter for the national team?
