Young Indonesian racer, Veda Ega Pratama, is preparing to face a new challenge at the Moto3 Grand Prix in the United States taking place at the Circuit of the Americas from March 27-29, 2026. The rider for Honda Team Asia arrives with high confidence after securing a podium finish at the Brazilian GP.

"That circuit (Americas) is new for me. However, I'll keep learning and doing my best," stated Veda, quoted from the official Honda racing team website, Honda Racing Corporation, on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.

Despite being a rookie, the 17-year-old rider from Gunungkidul has shown rapid development. He's begun finding his racing rhythm in the Moto3 class after impressive performances in the first two rounds of the 2026 season.

At the opening round at Chang International Circuit, Veda finished fifth. This positive trend continued in Brazil, where he successfully secured third place on the podium, a result that immediately captured the attention of the Motorsport community.

Veda admitted this achievement exceeded his expectations, considering the season had only run two rounds. Yet, it also proved his capability to compete with top-tier riders.

"Now I know I can fight at the front. So, I want more," said the 2025 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup runner-up.

Furthermore, Veda emphasized that his success at the Brazilian GP was largely due to the team's role. He believes the synergy between rider and crew is key to achieving maximum results.

"The team did an excellent job so everything ran smoothly. I'm extremely proud of the Brazil result, my greatest achievement so far," Veda expressed.

The rider, who is also the 2023 Asia Talent Cup Champion, extended his appreciation to Indonesian supporters for their continuous encouragement.

"My deepest gratitude to the Indonesian people for all your support," Veda said.

The podium achievement at the Brazilian GP marks a significant milestone in national Motorsport history. Veda is now recorded as the first Indonesian Rider to secure a podium in the Moto3 World Championship, simultaneously making history in the FIM World Championship Grand Prix.

With high confidence and steadily improving performance, Veda is ready to face new challenges in the United States and pursue another top result.
