The Homecoming to Jakarta Tourism program carries the theme "Jakarta Empty, Vacation and Shopping Joy, Profit Comes". This concept combines a quieter city atmosphere with an urban Holiday experience full of attractive offers.

"Regarding homecoming to Jakarta, we've agreed the main tagline will be 'Jakarta Empty, Vacation and Shopping Joy, Profit Comes'," stated Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung in Jakarta on Tuesday.

According to Pramono, this theme was chosen because although many residents leave for their hometowns, Jakarta retains its unique appeal for tourists and citizens choosing to enjoy Eid holidays in the city.

The Homecoming to Jakarta program runs from February 27 to March 31, 2026, designed as an urban tourism experience package combining accommodation, shopping, and destination exploration.

A key attraction includes hotel promotions at 26 Jakarta properties offering "special price and pay 2 get 3 nights", giving tourists extended city stays at lower costs.

Visitors can also utilize shopping vouchers at eight ITC Group outlets and discounts across entertainment venues from museums, cinemas, Golf Courses, to spas.

The program features special fares for Jakarta-bound trips via Citilink airlines and train services from Indonesian Railways

Private City Tour packages allow closer exploration of the capital's corners through personalized itineraries.

The holiday experience is enhanced by Free Public Transportation during Eid, covering Jakarta MRT, LRT, and TransJakarta services.

This enables tourists to explore the city without transportation cost concerns.

Simultaneously, shopping festivities will enliven the city through Jakarta Festive Wonder, involving 101 capital shopping centers with discounts up to 80%.

Through these initiatives, the government aims to position Jakarta not just as an exodus city during homecoming season, but also as an urban destination offering relaxed, affordable, and surprising holiday experiences.

Despite these Tourism Promotions, the government ensures optimal services for citizens returning to hometowns.

"The Jakarta Provincial Government provides maximum facilities, whether transportation, buses, vehicle inspections, and so on," concluded Pramono.
