Real Madrid Goalkeeper Becomes Le Mans Shareholder, Boosts French Club's Ambitious Project

Real Madrid Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is expanding his involvement in the world of Football by becoming a shareholder of Le Mans FC. This move marks Courtois' direct participation in the ambitious project of the French Ligue 2 club, which is establishing long-term foundations.

Courtois joins an ownership structure that also includes global figures such as Tennis Player Novak Djokovic and Formula 1 drivers Felipe Massa and Kevin Magnussen. 

However, the Belgian goalkeeper remains the sole active figure from the Football world involved in this project.

According to RMC Sport reports, Courtois entered through his investment company, NxtPlay Capital. Meanwhile, the Brazilian group Outfield has completed its acquisition as majority shareholder of Le Mans, supported by minority investors from the global athlete community.

In their official statement, the club highlighted Courtois as a two-time Champions League winner and legendary goalkeeper, bringing substantial influence both on and off the pitch. 

The club believes his elite-level experience and reputation will provide significant added value to their project's development.

One key pillar already underway is constructing a specialized training center to nurture local talent. 

Their medium-term goal is to establish Le Mans as a benchmark for youth development while creating sustainable talent resources for the first team.

Le Mans also emphasized their ambition to build an ambitious, sustainable club rooted in the city's iconic Motor Racing heritage and globally recognized brand identity. 

Their primary priorities include strengthening Sports performance and developing the club's brand locally and internationally to maximize sporting and commercial potential.

Courtois' involvement demonstrates Le Mans' commitment to creating a modern project based on global investment, infrastructure, and youth development. 

For Courtois, this step represents more than Business expansion—it's part of his long-term vision in football, evolving from guarding the goal to building a club's future.
