Indonesia wins the 2026 AFF Women's Cup, Garuda Pertiwi retains the title with a goal spree.

The Indonesia women's national team has once again asserted its dominance in Southeast Asian football. Garuda Pertiwi successfully retained the 2026 AFF Women's Cup title after crushing Laos 5-0 in the final match held at the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium, Malaysia.

This resounding victory secures Indonesia's second consecutive AFF Women's Cup championship, following their triumph in the 2024 edition. This result cements the rapid progress of Satoru Mochizuki's squad throughout the tournament.

Indonesia took the attacking initiative and dominated ball possession right from the first whistle. Garuda Pertiwi goalkeeper Laila Masykuroh briefly made an errant pass. Fortunately, this mistake did not result in a conceded goal.

Indonesia created their first chance in the 20th minute. Estella Loupatty advanced down the right flank before delivering a pass to Sheva Imut. However, Sheva's final finish instead went straight to Felicia de Zeeuw.

Three minutes later, the Laos goalkeeper failed to hold Gea Yumanda's shot cleanly, but managed to recover possession of the ball shortly after.

Indonesia broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute. Felicia de Zeeuw's corner kick caused chaos inside the Laos penalty box. Sydney Hopper pounced on the loose ball to put Indonesia ahead 1-0.

After the halftime break, Indonesia stepped up their aggression. Just three minutes into the second half, Isabelle Nottet fired a powerful strike from outside the penalty area to double the lead to 2-0.

Estella Loupatty added her name to the scoresheet eight minutes later, extending Indonesia's lead to three goals.

Garuda Pertiwi's goal rush continued in the 68th minute, courtesy of a spectacular long-range strike from Felicia de Zeeuw outside the penalty box.

Emily Nahon sealed Garuda Pertiwi's perfect 5-0 victory with her goal in the 84th minute.

With this win, Indonesia makes history as back-to-back winners of the AFF Women's Cup across two consecutive editions. Prior to this, Garuda Pertiwi claimed the 2024 title after defeating Cambodia 3-1, with two goals from Reva and one goal from Sydney Hopper.

This championship title qualifies Indonesia for the 2027 AFF Women's Championship. Alongside Indonesia, runners-up Laos and third-placed Singapore also secured their qualification spots.
