Persija Jakarta has made a major splash in the transfer market by securing the signature of Nadeo Argawinata. The Indonesia national team goalkeeper has been signed on a five-year contract that runs until 2031.
Persija acquired Nadeo from Borneo FC through a transfer agreement that will see two young Macan Kemayoran players, Aditya Warman and Ibrah Ohorella, move the opposite way. The pair will leave Persija to continue their careers with Pesut Etam as part of this deal.
Persija President Mohamad Prapanca welcomed Nadeo's arrival positively. He is confident Nadeo's quality will prove an invaluable asset for the squad ahead of the 2026/2027 season.

“Welcome Nadeo. He is one of the very best goalkeepers available in Indonesia right now. His experience, both at club level and with the national team, will be critical foundation for Persija to compete this season. We have full trust Nadeo will deliver huge contributions for this club,” Prapanca stated in Persija's official press release.
Prapanca also paid tribute to the departing Aditya Warman and Ibrah Ohorella.
“We thank Aditya Warman and Ibrah Ohorella for all the dedication they gave during their time as part of Persija. As two young homegrown players, they have excellent potential. We wish them nothing but continued growth and every success for the next stage of their careers,” he said.
Nadeo began his professional career with Borneo FC in 2016. He joined Bali United in 2020, and played a key role as Serdadu Tridatu won the 2021/2022 Liga 1 title.
After three seasons in Bali, the Kediri-born goalkeeper returned to Borneo FC, where he delivered consistent performances to establish himself as one of the top shot-stoppers in domestic competition.
On the international stage, Nadeo is a core figure for the Garuda national squad. Since making his senior debut in May 2021, he has recorded 24 appearances for Indonesia across major tournaments including the AFF Championship, FIFA World Cup Qualifiers and the AFC Asian Cup.
“It is a huge honour to join Persija, one of Indonesia's biggest clubs with such a long history and the incredible support of the Jakmania. I am ready to work hard, give everything every time I get the chance, and fight together with this team to win honours," said last season's Super League Goalkeeper of the Year.
Nadeo becomes the tenth new signing for Macan Kemayoran, following previous arrivals Kerim Memija, Stjepan Loncar, Kyohei Yoshino, Kwon Chang-hoon, Denis Kolinger, Radovan Pankov, Aqil Savik, Victor Dethan and Pratama Arhan.
