Ronaldo tops Saudi Pro League, ex-Liverpool striker among top 10 highest-paid players.

Saudi Pro League has reaffirmed itself as the new magnet of global football. Since Cristiano Ronaldo's arrival at Al-Nassr, the flow of European stars to Saudi Arabia has intensified with fantastic salary offers.

Undeniably, fantastic financial offers have become the key factor behind the migration of several top players to the Middle East. 

Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, and Darwin Nunez have chosen to continue their careers in the Saudi Pro League after leaving their mark in the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, and Bundesliga.

These players arrive as experienced assets with championship track records. So, among these stars, who is at the top of the salary pyramid? 

10 Highest-Paid Players in the Saudi Pro League per Year

1. Cristiano Ronaldo (Rp 4.9 Trillion)

Cristiano Ronaldo still dominates the list of the highest-paid players in the Saudi Pro League. This Al-Nassr star earns up to 251.2 million euros per year, equivalent to Rp4.9 trillion.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner signed with Al-Nassr in January 2023. In June 2025, he signed a new contract that will end in the summer of 2027.

2. Riyad Karim Mahrez (Rp 1.18 Trillion)

Riyad Mahrez is in second place with a salary of 60.03 million euros per year, equivalent to Rp1.18 trillion. This amount is five times higher than his salary while playing for Manchester City.

Mahrez became a key figure for Al-Ahli and played a major role in leading the club, nicknamed The Greenz, to win the AFC Champions League 2024/2025.

3. Karim Benzema (Rp 1.13 Trillion)

Karim Benzema occupies the third position with a salary of 57.5 million euros, equivalent to Rp1.13 trillion. 

Despite experiencing adaptation difficulties at Al-Ittihad, Benzema still recorded 13 goals and eight assists in his debut season in the Middle East. He now plays for Al Hilal with the same salary.

4. Sadio Mane (Rp 910.27 Billion)

Sadio Mane joined Al-Nassr and plays alongside Cristiano Ronaldo. The Senegalese forward earns a total income of 46 million euros per year, or Rp910.27 billion, at the age of 33.

5. Kalidou Koulibaly (Rp 789.8 Billion)

Kalidou Koulibaly left Chelsea in 2023 after a difficult period in the Premier League. With Al-Hilal, the Senegalese defender earns 39.9 million euros per year, equivalent to Rp789.8 billion. He became a pillar of the defense, especially under Simone Inzaghi's guidance in the second half of the 2025/26 season.

6. Ivan Toney (Rp 630 Billion)

Ivan Toney, once one of the most prolific strikers in the Premier League with Brentford, now plays for Al-Ahli. 

He earns an income of 31.84 million euros per year, equivalent to Rp630 billion.

7. Sergej Milinković-Savić (Rp 580.72 Billion)

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic became one of the big names to move to the Middle East at the age of 30. 

Since his debut with Al-Hilal in the summer of 2023, he has earned 29.34 million euros per year, equivalent to Rp580.72 billion.

8. N’Golo Kante (Rp 569 Billion)

N’Golo Kante experienced a difficult end to his career with Chelsea due to injuries and fitness issues. 

Al-Ittihad then signed him in the summer of 2023, giving him an income of 28.75 million euros per year, equivalent to Rp569 billion. Kante has since continued his career at Fenerbahce.

9. Marcelo Brozovic (Rp 550.79 Billion)

Marcelo Brozovic was one of the early European players to follow Ronaldo's path to the Saudi Pro League. 

With Al-Nassr, the Croatian midfielder earns 27.83 million euros per year, equivalent to Rp550.79 billion.

10. Darwin Nunez (Rp 510.91 Billion)

Darwin Nunez accepted a new challenge with Al-Hilal in the summer of 2024 after a difficult period at Liverpool

The Uruguayan striker immediately became a mainstay with an income of 25.82 million euros per year, equivalent to Rp510.91 billion.
