The 18th week of the Super League kicks off on Friday, January 23, 2026, with the spotlight on two matches that could potentially shake up the top of the standings. Persib Bandung hosts PSBS Biak while Persija Jakarta faces Madura United.

Persib Bandung enters this week's match with both heavy pressure and high motivation. As the current league leaders, the Bandung Tiger will host PSBS Biak at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, Bandung, on Sunday, January 25 at 7:00 PM Western Indonesia Time.

With 38 points from 17 matches, Persib holds just a one-point lead over second-place Borneo FC—a gap that makes every match feel like a final.

Victory is an absolute necessity for Persib to maintain their top position. However, PSBS Biak won't be an easy opponent.

The visitors arrive with boosted confidence after crushing Bhayangkara FC 4-1 last week.

Points are equally critical for 15th-place PSBS Biak, who sit merely six points above the relegation zone.

This dynamic promises an intense battle in Bandung, with high stakes for both sides.

Meanwhile in Jakarta, Persija is scheduled to host Madura United at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium on Friday, January 23 at 7:00 PM Western Indonesia Time.

The Kemayoran Tigers aim for victory to solidify their top-tier standing while eyeing a chance to claim the league summit.

The squad under Mauricio Souza currently ranks third with 35 points from 17 matches—trailing Persib Bandung by three points and Borneo FC by two.

A win would maintain pressure on the top two teams while reinforcing Persija's title ambitions this season.

Madura United, for their part, seeks redemption after managing only one draw and one loss in their last two matches.

Though positioned 14th with 17 points from 17 games, every point remains vital to escape relegation threats, as they hold just a seven-point buffer above the danger zone.

Beyond these two fixtures, Week 18 of the Super League features other compelling matchups including Borneo FC vs Persis Solo, Malut United vs Persik Kediri, and PSIM Yogyakarta vs Persebaya Surabaya.
