A world-class badminton event returns to Indonesia through the Daihatsu Indonesia Masters 2026, set to take place at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, from January 20-25, 2026. This BWF Super 500 tournament will showcase elite global Badminton players while attracting national badminton enthusiasts.

A total of 274 athletes from 21 countries will compete across five categories: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles. The participation of these top players ensures Indonesia Masters 2026 remains one of the most competitive tournaments in the early-season global badminton calendar.

Organizing Committee Chairman Daihatsu Indonesia Masters 2026, Achmad Budiharto, confirmed all aspects—from competition venues to athlete and spectator facilities—have been thoroughly prepared.

"We've ensured readiness of competition venues, operations, athlete support facilities, plus various off-court activities and entertainment for spectators," stated Achmad Budiharto during a Jakarta press conference on Monday, January 19, 2026.

Beyond match quality, Indonesia Masters 2026 embraces a Sportainment concept with a community festival atmosphere. This approach aims to deliver a fresh, accessible viewing experience while strengthening public connection with badminton.

"We believe this event isn't just an athlete competition, but a moment to reignite public pride and passion for badminton—a sport that has elevated Indonesia's global standing," said Budiharto.

Regarding host team readiness, PBSI confirmed Indonesian athletes are in controlled condition. PBSI Head of Development and Achievement Eng Hian noted current focus is on maintaining fitness while sharpening technical and mental aspects pre-tournament.

"Primary focus includes post-year-end tournament physical recovery, tactical refinement based on opponents' profiles, and mental readiness for early-year competition," explained Eng Hian.

Indonesia Masters 2026 serves as a crucial launchpad for players to start the season with ranking points and confidence. With a $500,000 (Rp8 billion) prize pool, intense competition is expected from the opening rounds.

Holding this tournament at Istora Senayan reaffirms Indonesia's position as a global badminton hub. Full spectator support is anticipated to energize Indonesian representatives to perform at their peak before home crowds.
