Indonesian National Team striker Ole Romeny has consistently drawn public attention since his first day wearing the red-and-white jersey. His debut, immediately marked by a goal against Australia on March 20, 2025, sparked huge expectations for his journey with the Garuda squad.

Fall against Saudi Arabia, Indonesia's direct World Cup 2026 qualification chance fading.
As Romeny joined the National Team ahead of crucial matches against Saudi Arabia on October 8, 2025, and Iraq on October 11, 2025, the Indonesian public held high hopes that he would strengthen the Garuda frontline. These moments are critical, as the top-ranked teams will advance to the 2026 World Cup.
Ole revealed that supportive messages from fans provide unique energy.
"Yeah, I think it's because of the love they show me too, even online," he said in an interview on YouTube's The Haye Way.
"I get 'get well soon' messages every day. I've never seen this many in my life," he added.
Messages like "Get well soon, get well soon, get well soon, Bang Ole, get well soon" weren't just sweet words, but motivation that ignited his spirit.
"And that also gives me energy, I want to be out there too, for them," stated Ole.
When Pressure Becomes the Stage for Achievement
In his role as the penalty executioner against China on June 5, 2025, Ole felt palpable tension. He admitted his mother couldn't even bear to watch his kick. Yet, he coolly completed the task, securing a 1-0 victory for Indonesia.
This event proved that pressure isn't a burden, but fuel.
"Yeah, the bigger the pressure, the bigger the moment. So it's always a positive thing," said Ole.
"If there's no pressure, it means you're not at an incredible level. If the pressure is big, you can also gain more from it," he added.
Stellar Early Statistics and Record
Since his debut, Ole scored goals in his first three appearances for the Garuda – against Australia, Bahrain, and China. His sharpness was immediately seen as proof he's one of Indonesia's potent weapons in attack.
Performance records from his first three matches show Romeny took 6 shots, demonstrating high effectiveness. In the duel against China, the 45th-minute penalty goal secured the 1-0 win and gave Indonesia statistical dominance despite slightly less ball possession.
