Cheria Holiday, a halal Travel service provider in Indonesia, is collaborating with Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) to target more than just travel, aiming to build an easily accessible halal Tourism Ecosystem.

"The goal is to ensure all segments of society have easy access to sharia-compliant travel financing services, whether for international Halal Tourism, umrah, or hajj," stated Cheria Holiday Founder Cheriatna in an official release in Jakarta, Thursday, December 18, 2025.
For Indonesian Muslim families, this partnership paves the way for more planned and comfortable Muslim-friendly holidays.
Cheriatna explained that cooperation with BSI allows people to obtain travel information, register, and apply for financing within one integrated service ecosystem.
This breakthrough makes it easier for Travelers to access quality halal tourism products without geographical or financial constraints. This approach positions halal tourism not as an exclusive segment, but as an inclusive and easily accessible travel choice.
Beyond access, this partnership also offers flexibility. Cheriatna stated they are opening opportunities for diversified financing schemes, enabling prospective pilgrims and tourists to choose payment methods for halal travel packages, umrah, or special hajj according to their needs.
As Chairperson of the Indonesian Halal Travel Association (ATHIN), Cheriatna views support from the sharia banking sector as a crucial foundation for public trust and international partners.
Moreover, global Muslim travel expenditure is projected to reach US$300 billion by 2026.
Synergy with Indonesia's largest sharia financial institution is expected to further strengthen public and international partner confidence.
In an increasingly diverse global Tourism landscape, halal tourism is not just about destinations, but about an inclusive, ethical ecosystem that prioritizes travel convenience for all.
