Three Premier League giants, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool, all secured victories in matchweek 16 of the 2025/26 English League. For Arsenal, this positive result cemented the London club's position at the top of the standings, while for Chelsea and Liverpool, it affirmed that both teams are still worthy contenders at the top end of the table.
Arsenal secured a dramatic win when hosting Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Emirates Stadium early Sunday morning WIB. The Gunners won 2-1 thanks to two own goals by Sam Johnstone and Yerson Mosquera.
Wolves briefly equalized through Tolu Arokodare in the 90th minute, before the second own goal in injury time ensured the three points stayed in North London. These additional points solidified Arsenal's position at the top of the standings with 36 points, five points clear of Manchester City.

At Stamford Bridge, Chelsea put in a solid performance to defeat Everton 2-0. Both goals for The Blues were scored in the first half by Cole Palmer and Malo Gusto.
Chelsea dominated the match with a high tempo and defensive discipline, making it difficult for Everton to develop their game.
This victory kept Chelsea in fourth place with 28 points, while Everton remained stuck in mid-table.
Meanwhile at Anfield, Liverpool also secured a 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion. New striker Hugo Ekitike was the star, grabbing both goals for The Reds.
Mohamed Salah, returning after missing three matches, also contributed with an assist. This result lifted Liverpool to sixth place in the standings with 26 points, while Brighton failed to close in on the European qualification spots.
The simultaneous victories for Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool have intensified the competition in the English League this season. With a packed schedule and high pressure in the second half of the season, consistency will be key for all three teams to maintain their momentum in the pursuit of the best possible positions in the standings.
