Real Madrid once again relied on Kylian Mbappé's brilliance to emerge from a dramatic match. The French megastar scored four goals, leading Los Blancos to a 4-3 victory over Olympiakos on matchday five of the 2025/26 Champions League at Karaiskakis Stadium, early Thursday morning WIB, November 27, 2025.

His feat of scoring four goals in a single European competition match places him in an exclusive Real Madrid legends list.

In Madrid's history in the Champions League or European Cup, only four players have ever scored four goals in one match. Besides Mbappé, those who preceded him on the list are Alfredo Di Stéfano (twice), Ferenc Puskas (twice), and Cristiano Ronaldo.

With his four goals, the former PSG striker and 2022 World Cup top scorer solidified his status as the heir to Los Blancos' glory.

The night in Piraeus became the night when Mbappé not only won the match but also wrote history.

Mbappé's Performance in Olympiakos vs Real Madrid Match

Real Madrid arrived as favorites, but Olympiakos provided a quick surprise. Just eight minutes into the match, Chiquinho unleashed a long-range shot, capitalizing on a pass from Ayoub El Kaabi. The ball flew fiercely into the bottom left corner of Andriy Lunin's goal. 1-0 to the hosts.

However, Madrid only needed a moment to rise, with Mbappé as their executioner. Within a span of 10 minutes, Mbappé turned the score around.

In the 22nd minute, Mbappé finished a through ball from Vinicius Junior with a low shot past Konstantinos Tzolakis.

Two minutes later, he headed in a cross from Arda Guler for a goal. Mbappé's third goal finished a pass from Eduardo Camavinga in the 29th minute.

The 3-1 score held until halftime, with Madrid controlling the game.

Olympiakos Fights Back, but Mbappé Unstoppable

Olympiakos refused to surrender and narrowed the gap in the 52nd minute through Mehdi Taremi's header, capitalizing on a pass from Santiago Hezze.

But in the 60th minute, an individual effort by Vinicius breached the Olympiakos defense. The Madrid winger sent in a pass that Mbappé finished with a first-time touch for his fourth goal of the night.

Olympiakos kept pushing forward. In the 81st minute, El Kaabi headed in a ball from Gabriel Strefezza to make it 4-3.

However, that was their last goal. Madrid secured a dramatic victory. They returned home with three points and moved into fifth place in the standings.
