Indonesian national team goalkeeper Emil Audero delivered a brilliant performance as he led Cremonese to a 2-0 victory over Genoa in Serie A at Luigi Ferraris Stadium, early Thursday morning WIB, November 30, 2025. This match marked a special comeback for Audero after recovering from injury.

Audero's return brings good news for Cremonese. Previously, Cremonese's defense often looked fragile without him. But in this comeback match, Audero's composure and reflexes restored security to I Grigiorossi's backline.

Cremonese took an early lead through Federico Bonazzoli in the 4th minute. The goal originated from a corner kick situation. Matteo Bianchetti's imperfect shot turned into an opportunity when the loose ball fell to Bonazzoli.

With his back to goal, he unleashed a spectacular bicycle kick that Nicola Leali couldn't stop.

Early in the second half, Bonazzoli scored again. From another corner routine, his volley was initially parried by Leali, but the referee confirmed the ball had crossed the goal line, making it 2-0 for Cremonese.

Genoa thought they'd reduced the deficit through Vitor Oliveira in the 56th minute, but VAR review disallowed the goal for a prior foul.

Genoa pressed intensely in the remaining time, but Cremonese's disciplined defense held firm. Audero showcased his class with crucial saves, maintaining Cremonese's clean sheet until the final whistle.

This victory marked Audero's comeback with a clean sheet, proving he remains vital between the posts.

His solid performance is expected to strengthen both Cremonese's Serie A campaign and his role when he returns to defend Indonesia's national team.
