Enthusiasm from motorcycle racing fans has already been felt ever since the first phase ticket sales for the 2026 Indonesian MotoGP opened. The early bird program sold out completely in just one week, recording total sales valued at approximately IDR 2.4 billion.
This achievement serves as a positive signal ahead of the Indonesian MotoGP round which will take place at Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, 9–11 October 2026.
Troy Reza Warokka, Operations Director of InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), stated that this year's ticket sales are progressing far faster compared to previous season implementations.

Faster Sales Than Previous Year
According to Troy, the current ticket sales value has already matched figures that were previously only achieved right before race day in earlier editions.
"If we look at the numbers, we have already reached the equivalent of 2.4 billion Rupiah. Last year it took much longer to hit this figure, we only reached this amount one month prior to the race," Troy stated to Antara in Jakarta.
He assessed that this high public interest demonstrates growing enthusiasm towards Indonesian MotoGP.
"Right now we are still very far from the event date, yet ticket sales have already hit this mark... that is why we are running the IndonesiaGoesGlobal campaign, because if not now, then when?" he added.
Mario Aji and Veda Ega As New Attraction Magnets
One factor believed to be driving ticket sales growth is the confirmed participation of two Indonesian riders: Mario Aji and Veda Ega Pratama.
For the very first time, both riders will compete on home soil, with Mario racing in the Moto2 class and Veda competing in the Moto3 category.
The presence of these two young Indonesian talents has become a special draw for domestic motorcycle racing fans who wish to deliver direct support from the grandstands of Mandalika Circuit.
ITDC is confident that Mario and Veda's appearance will increase total spectator numbers compared to previous seasons.
Mandalika Will Deliver An Even More Lively Experience
Aside from presenting world-class rider action, the organisers have also prepared various entertainment concepts to improve spectator experience throughout the entire race weekend.
Troy explained that ITDC will launch a fresher sportainment program compared to prior editions, to make Indonesian MotoGP even more appealing for both domestic and international visitors.
With the combination of world championship racing, home Indonesian riders, and various supporting entertainment, the 2026 Mandalika MotoGP is expected to become one of the most vibrant rounds on this season's MotoGP calendar.
