Morotai Island in North Maluku continues to solidify its position as one of Indonesia's leading marine tourism destinations. One highlight is Daloha Beach, a white sand coastline that offers a calm atmosphere, clear seawater, and panoramic views from sunrise through to sunset.

Located within the Daloha Beach and Dive Resort premises at Tanjung Dehegila, Juanga Village, South Morotai District, Daloha Beach is an ideal choice for travellers seeking a relaxed holiday far from the noise and bustle of urban areas.

Alan Wijaya, President Director of PT Jababeka Morotai as the operator and developer of the Morotai Special Economic Zone, explained that Daloha Beach was purpose-built to deliver a calming holiday experience surrounded by Morotai's natural beauty.

"This location is perfectly suited for anyone who wants to step away from daily busyness for a while and enjoy peaceful surroundings amidst Morotai's unspoiled nature," stated Alan.

Crystal clear seawater is one of Daloha Beach's greatest draws. Visitors can even watch small fish swimming in the shallow waters without leaving the shoreline.

This beach supports a wide range of activities, from casual coastal walks, swimming, to snorkelling.

Daloha Beach and Dive Resort provides full diving facilities, including certified equipment and professional guide services.

Morotai's beauty extends far beyond Daloha Beach. As one of Indonesia's finest marine destinations, the island hosts multiple dive sites each with distinct unique characteristics.

At Mitita Island, visitors can swim alongside blacktip reef sharks. Meanwhile the waters off Wawama Island contain a sunken World War II Willys Jeep wreck that has become an integrated part of the local underwater ecosystem.

Dodola Island also features extensive healthy coral reef formations and diverse marine wildlife.

Alongside its underwater attractions, Morotai is home to a cluster of pristine offshore islands including Kokoya, Kolorai, Zum-zum, Pasir Timbul and Dodola, earning the region its nickname as the "Maldives of Indonesia".

Zum-zum Island offers historical tourism experiences. This island served as the field residence of US General Douglas MacArthur during World War II, and now hosts an approximately 20 metre tall commemorative statue of the general.

Dodola Island presents a unique natural phenomenon. At low tide, a long stretch of exposed white sand hundreds of metres long forms a natural land bridge connecting Greater Dodola and Lesser Dodola. This sight is one of the most popular photography spots for visiting travellers.

For adventure lovers, Morotai offers trekking routes to the 7-tiered natural Raja Waterfall, endemic bird watching excursions, and guided historical tours following surviving World War II trail sites.

Local historical attractions are further completed by the independent World War II Swadaya Museum established by Muhlis Eso in Joubela Village.

This museum holds a large collection of war relics gathered by Muhlis over decades, including ammunition, military field equipment, unit insignia, soldier canteens and other physical artefacts that bear witness to the Pacific theatre battles that took place in this region.

With its combination of scenic coastlines, rich underwater biodiversity, living historical heritage and spectacular natural landscapes, Daloha Beach acts as the perfect gateway for travellers to experience all of Morotai Island's charms within one trip.
