Alongside the golf competition, participants were also introduced to footgolf, a sport that merges elements of football and golf into a single activity. The addition of footgolf provides more Accessible Sports options for all demographics, while further enriching Belitung's tourism appeal.
The tournament unfolded with a competitive yet warm, friendly atmosphere. All activities, from putting contests to full course matches, ran successfully with active enthusiastic participation from all attendees. Darma Mangkuluhur Hutomo, Dwi Febri Astuti, and Belitung Regent Djoni Alamsyah Hidayat also joined multiple activities as a show of support for the development of sports tourism in Belitung.
Following the tournament, the programme continued with a gala dinner and awarding night. This occasion served to recognise participants while strengthening relations between attendees, partners, and tourism industry stakeholders. Within the warm convivial atmosphere, guests also exchanged ideas regarding future tourism development opportunities for Belitung.
The event series then moved to Tanjung Tinggi Beach, one of Belitung's iconic tourist landmarks widely known as the filming location for the Laskar Pelangi film. At this site, the official inauguration was held for the Laskar Pelangi Beach Food Plaza, a culinary hub expected to become a new visitor attraction.
The inauguration was marked with a ribbon cutting ceremony and commemorative plaque signing. Laskar Pelangi Beach Food Plaza hosts approximately 70 food tenants with seating capacity for up to 900 people. With direct ocean frontage and views of Belitung's signature granite rock formations, this hub is designed to boost tourism appeal while driving economic activity for surrounding local communities.
This commitment to responsible tourism development was also realised through a coral reef transplantation and conservation programme conducted in the coastal waters around the Laskar Pelangi site. This initiative represents the core principle that tourism growth must always run parallel with environmental preservation efforts.
The conservation activity opened with participant briefing and handover of Coral Reef Transplantation mediums. Dive operations were then conducted to deploy the transplant mediums at pre-surveyed designated sites in Belitung waters. PT Intra Golflink Resorts Tbk Director Andy Nuryadmanto also personally participated in the transplant deployment process as part of the company's formal environmental commitment.
One by one, the coral transplant mediums were placed into the clear waters of Belitung, as a concrete step to protect the long term sustainability of the local marine ecosystem. Through Mangkuluhur Goes to Belitung, PT Intra Golflink Resorts Tbk demonstrates that tourism destination development does not only focus on constructing facilities, but also prioritises environmental continuity and tangible economic benefits for local people.
From the golf course, to the beachfront culinary precinct, right down to the seabed of Belitung, every element of this entire event series carries one unified core message: building Sustainable Tourism for the future of Belitung.
