His natural talent and disciplined work ethic became visible from a young age. In 2019, Margoz claimed victory at both the IJG Premier League 2 Gombel and the McDonald Junior Golf Championship. One year later, he won the 2020 National Junior Championship at Gading Raya, followed by another tournament title at Senayan National Golf Club in Jakarta.
Beyond collecting championship titles, Margoz has consistently placed in the upper ranks across all national competitions. He finished 4th at the 2019 National Junior Championship for the 9–10 years age category, and also secured 4th place at the 2021 Jakarta Gobar Junior Golf for Category C.
His capabilities have also been proven at higher competitive tiers. Margoz previously won the Men's Category D title at an international tournament held in Jakarta, represented Bali at the 2023 National Sports Week (PON) qualifiers, and recorded a T22 final standing at the 2023 Indonesia Tourism Golf Pro Series.
Margoz's performance continues on an upward trajectory. For the 2026 competition season, he finished runner-up at the Indonesian Golf National Junior Championship. He currently holds a position within the national Top 15 on the Indonesian Junior Golf (IJG) rankings, with a competitive average score of approximately 75 strokes per round.
During the ITSMe podcast, Margoz shared that his goal is to qualify for consistent international competition and carry Indonesia's name onto the global stage. For this reason, the launch of JGS Indonesia represents a critical career milestone for the young athlete.
JGS Indonesia is part of the wider The Junior Golf Series network operating across multiple Asian nations. Across the 2026 season, the series will run 16 fully integrated tournaments under a standardised Point Race System. Consistently performing golfers will earn qualification for the Indonesian Junior Masters 2026, and the right to represent Indonesia at international events including the Singapore Junior Masters, Thailand Junior Masters, Taiwan Junior Open, JGS Korea Championship, and the Australian NextGen Amateur Tour.
The son of leather industry entrepreneur Sunny Kamengmau still has a long career road ahead. But built upon his track record of childhood achievements, proven experience representing Bali at national level, and unwavering family support, Margoz has emerged as one of Indonesia's most promising golf prospects, now advancing towards the international stage through the JGS Indonesia programme.
