Kevin Diks and Emil Audero Have Arrived, Indonesia National Football Team Grows Stronger Ahead of FIFA Match Day

The strength of Indonesia National Team ahead of the June 2026 FIFA Match Day is now fully coming together. Two players competing in elite European competitions, Kevin Diks and Emil Audero, have arrived in Jakarta to join the Garuda Squad for their centralized training camp.

The arrival of both players was confirmed through the latest video uploaded to the official Indonesia National Team account. Their presence delivers a critical boost for John Herdman's side, who are currently preparing for fixtures against Oman and Mozambique.

Kevin Diks and Emil Audero are named on the provisional 44-man call-up list for this FIFA Match Day window. However, head coach John Herdman has not yet announced the final squad that will be fielded for these two international matches.

Kevin Diks enters the training camp coming off an impressive individual season with Borussia Mönchengladbach in the German Bundesliga. The versatile defender enjoyed a successful debut campaign for the club, registering 5 goals from 30 competitive appearances across the season.

His contributions helped the Bundesliga side finish the season in 12th position on the league table with a final tally of 38 points.

Meanwhile, Emil Audero emerged as one of Cremonese's most consistent performers throughout the 2025/2026 Italian Serie A season. The 29-year-old goalkeeper missed just four league matches, recording 11 clean sheets from 38 total fixtures.

Despite his solid performances between the posts, Audero was unable to prevent Cremonese from relegation, after the club failed to retain their Serie A top flight status.

Alongside Kevin and Emil, a number of other Diaspora Players have also arrived in Jakarta. These include Ragnar Oratmangoen who plays for Belgian side Dender, and Oxford United striker Ole Romeny.

Multiple players competing in Indonesia's domestic league have also already joined the training camp. This group includes Ivar Jenner from Dewa United Banten FC, Rizky Ridho of Persija Jakarta, and Beckham Putra who is coming off an outstanding run of form with Persib Bandung.

A notable warm moment appeared at the end of the shared video, where Rizky Ridho and Beckham Putra were seen embracing as a display of unity within the Garuda squad.

The Indonesia National Team is scheduled to host two FIFA Match Day fixtures at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta. Garuda will first face Oman on 5 June, before taking on Mozambique on 9 June 2026.

These two matches serve as a critical opportunity for John Herdman to evaluate the squad's current strength, while also finalising preparations for the team's upcoming competitive commitments.
