IDoT 2025: Premier Domino Tournament Ready to Make New History in the World of Sports

Jakarta is preparing to witness new history. For the first time, the Indonesian Domino Sports Association (PORDI) will hold the inaugural domino tournament in the country titled Indonesia Domino Tournament 2025 (IDoT 2025).

The event will take place at the East Parking Lot of Gelora Bung Karno, Senayan, Jakarta, on November 15, 2025. This tournament is expected to attract the attention of thousands of domino enthusiasts from across the nation.

Significantly, no less than 3,000 participants will take part. This number makes the event the largest and most prestigious domino competition in Indonesia.

Domino, A Smart Sport That Builds Character

PORDI Chairman Andi Jamaro Dulung explained that this tournament is not merely a card competition on the table, but also an educational platform about the strategic value and benefits of domino sports.

"Domino sharpens thinking ability, cooperation, ego control, quick decision-making, intuition, and calculation. It is a smart sport that builds character and mental acuity. It can build emotional maturity and memory retention," said Andi in his official statement on Saturday.

Carrying the theme "Strategi Satoe Meja, Semangat Satoe Bangsa" (One Table Strategy, One Nation Spirit), IDoT 2025 aims to affirm that domino is not just entertainment, but also a mind sport that emphasizes strategy, concentration, and sportsmanship.

Major Collaboration for the Smart Sport Mission

For its organization, PORDI has partnered with Higgs Games Island (HGI) as the main supporter. This collaboration is an important step to strengthen the positive campaign that domino is a sport that hones logic and mentality.

"As a community-based digital game developer, HGI highly values this collaboration and is fully ready to support PORDI in educating and positively campaigning for domino as a smart sport in Indonesia, working with PORDI to bring Indonesian domino to the world stage," explained HGI Public Relations Manager, Eko Budi.

Not Only National, But Global

Interestingly, IDoT 2025 will not only involve local participants. Representatives from eight countries will also participate in the inter-country table category, namely China, Malaysia, Japan, Korea, France, New Zealand, the Netherlands, and Australia.

With the presence of international players, this event symbolizes that Indonesia is beginning to be recognized on the world domino competition map.

Currently, domino is in the process of being recognized as an achievement sport branch by the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI).

This step aligns with the international direction, where the International Domino Federation (Fédération Internationale de Domino - FIDO) has become the official organization governing global domino tournaments.
